South2 West8

South2 West8 was founded in 2003 as an expression of “Heavy Duty Ivy” within the Nepenthes umbrella. Based out of Sapporo in the Hokkaido region of northern Japan, S2W8 interprets rugged outdoors wear that can be used both out in the field and back in the city. In 2015, the brand began focusing on developing items for the traditional practice of Tenkara fly fishing, spawning flagship garments like the River Trek Jacket, which uses waterproof-breathable layered fabrics. Besides these technical layers, South2 West8 also employs classic materials, namely their Sundowner range of luggage, and cotton/nylon in their Belted C.S. Pant.
