Outerwear is always the pinnacle representation of a brand’s offering. The Pertex ShieldAir A/L jacket is one of Goldwin’s key pieces for SS24. Developed with input from elite trail runner Dylan Bowman, this lightweight shell provides excellent protection from wind and water, with the added advantage of being immensely breathable. Where other jackets would swelter and sweat from the inside, Goldwin’s version is designed to keep the wearer comfortable even in the steamiest conditions. And when things finally get too hot, it packs down into a portable pouch. For full protection, add on the Mountaineering Cap that features the same Pertex ShieldAir material.
The One Tuck Tapered Light Pant in simplest terms is a pleated trouser fitted with useful functionality. An integrated belt allows on-the-go adjustment and its four-way stretch polyester construction has built-in water resistance to ward off any sudden showers. Goldwin’s handy modifications are also scattered throughout these pants, including an integrated zipper security pocket hidden within the main right pocket and sloping rear pockets that accentuate the fitted yoke line.
The wider collection sees Goldwin applying their decades of real-world R&D to pieces tuned for urban use while maintaining plenty of functional edge. The Wind Light Over Coat and matching Wind Light Easy Pant are an example of this. Their recycled nylon composition satisfies eco considerations and simultaneously provides practical benefits such as water and wrinkle resistance.
On the design side, these are essentially contemporary updates of proven silhouettes, modernised with thoughtful details like hidden snaps and ergonomically slanted pockets.
