Post Overalls: Empire State Special

Post Overalls: Empire State Special

Posted by Chris Low on

For this week we take a closer look at the new Post Overalls range. Designer Takeshi Ohfuchi has explored utilising different textures and fabrics. Juxtaposing man-made nylons as seen in the outerwear, alongside natural cotton used in the plaid flannel shirts and denim.
Although his designs are rooted in the workwear of the 1930s and 40s. Takeshi has taken these classic styles and updated them. Whilst the Royal Traveller Vest and C-Post Dv2 Shirt feature nylon outers, their filling is Polar-Tec a lightweight and breathable fabric, that helps trap air to maintain warmth.
The brushed plaid flannel used in the Post-W and E-Z Cruz shirts is possible the softest cotton we have ever felt. Giving an almost luxurious feel to the rugged look of the shirting.
